The members' club's board provisionally accepted Trivela's offer for 100% on 12 October 2023, and the members approved it at an EGM on 6 November 2023, the change of ownership to take effect once the legal formalities were signed off (RTÉ). The date it took effect is not established; in March 2026 Trivela described itself as sole shareholder. No price was disclosed.

The chairman's statement posted with the 2024 accounts (droghedaunited.ie/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/AUDIT-2024_Chairmans-Statement.pdf) now returns the rebuilt site's HTML page and has no Internet Archive capture.
