How it’s counted & sources

Each club counts once, using its accounts for the season it played in the Primeira Liga. We select the latest statement for that season, preferring the team’s operator and the fullest filing, then check whether its revenue is comparable.

Revenue excludes player-sale income. Where that income is included in the published total, we subtract the statement's separately reported player-trading figure. Some statements group loan fees and other player income with sale gains; those are removed together. Otherwise loan fees remain included. These are comparisons across accounting formats, not identical revenue definitions.

The share is the three clubs’ combined revenue divided by the total for all qualifying clubs. No estimate is added for missing accounts.
